St. John Lutheran Church has been celebrating God’s grace and serving the Lord and His people since 1859! We are part of a voluntary association of churches known as The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). We invite you to worship with us at 5:00 p.m on Saturday or at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday to find out what we believe and how we, as a community, seek to praise God, to grow in discipleship, to serve others, and to share the Gospel. Our church sponsors many family-friendly events open to the community. We have a place where everyone, regardless of age, can connect with others and, most importantly, with Jesus.
Our Early Learning Center, in operation for 50 years, offers foundational learning in a Christ-centered, safe and caring environment. At our DCFS-licensed facility, your preschooler will be seen, heard, and appreciated as a unique individual. We offer half-day sessions, before- and after-school extended care, on-site enrichment classes, and summer camps.
Please consider being our guest at scheduled Holy Week services: Palm Sunday Service, 9:00 a.m.; Maundy Thursday Services, 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; Good Friday Service, 7:00 p.m.; Holy Saturday Service, 5:00 p.m.; and Easter Sunday Services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
