National Night Out and Open House with Westmont Police Department

Westmont - Attend the Open House at the Westmont Police Department as part of its National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 6. The National Night Out is celebrated throughout the country to encourage police-community partnerships in order to create more connected, safer neighborhoods.

From 5-8pm, there will be facility and vehicle tours, information tables at the department and around town, music, kids events and food prepared by the Westmont Lion's Club. Kids can ‘Take a bite outta crime’ with McGruff the dog and meet Radar the remote-controlled squad car. 

"The Police Department will have several information tables providing materials regarding our Citizen Police Academy, Special Olympics, Animals and general safety information.  In addition to the Police Department informational tables there will also be informational tables with representatives from Westmont Park District, Westmont Library, People's Resource Center, YWCA, NAMI DuPage, Westmont Pharmacy and 7-11," the police department shares. (westmont.il.gov).
