Shakespeare's Henry V opens today at the First Folio Theatre

Jul 10, 2019 12:05PM ● By Hannah Ott

Oak Brook - See Shakespeare's Henry V at the First Folio Theatre this summer. The history play will be presented today, July 10, through August 18.

In the play, King Henry V seeks to save his country and show his strength as a king by invading France. However, he gets in well over his head. The play celebrates Henry's invasion of France, but it also comments on the moral and personal cost of war. See how First Folio artistically approaches these opposing themes in their version.

Tickets range $29-44. Show times are as follows: 8pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, 8pm & 4pm on Saturdays and 3pm on Sundays and Thursdays.

The theatre is located at Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 31st St. in Oak Brook. Contact 630-986-8067 or visit firstfolio.org for tickets.
