Chicago’s The Four C Notes to Perform Benefit Concert for SEASPAR at Downers Grove’s Tivoli Theatre

Apr 05, 2019 12:17PM ● By Hannah Ott

Downers GroveThe Four C Notes, the Midwest’s only tribute group to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, will be the featured entertainment at a one-night-only fundraiser concert on Wednesday, April 10 at the Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Ave., Downers Grove.

Backed by their live 7-piece band, The Four C Notes are led by John Michael Coppola who appeared in Chicago’s long running Jersey Boys. The event is being presented by the South East Association for Special Parks And Recreation (SEASPAR) for its annual concert fundraiser, which also featured The Four C Notes in 2018.

The Four C Notes recreate the songs that made an overnight sensation of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, whose popularity was reignited by the Broadway show Jersey Boys.

Mr. Coppola, who understudied the role of Frankie Valli during the nearly 3-year run of the Chicago production, started The Four C Notes in 2013. “I was asked to create a 30 minute set for a wedding performed to music tracks. I hired 3 friends of mine from the Chicago theater and music scene, and it sort of took off from there,” says Coppola. “It was as if the universe said ‘Yes! Go with that instinct’. The show has grown to 90 minutes and we’ve been busy ever since, having been blessed to perform at public and private events all over the country. Of course, we always love coming back to the area to support wonderful organizations such as SEASPAR.”

Proceeds from the concert will be used to support SEASPAR’s recreational programs and services for individuals with disabilities served by the park districts of Clarendon Hills, Darien, Downers Grove, La Grange, La Grange Park, Lemont, Lisle, Westmont and Woodridge, and the villages of Brookfield, Indian Head Park and Western Springs.

“SEASPAR is excited to have The Four C Notes performing again this year to raise funds for our programs and services,” says Matt Corso, Executive Director of SEASPAR. “We know from last year’s concert that The Four C Notes will put on a great show for the community, while attendees will have a meaningful impact on SEASPAR. The financial support we receive through fundraising events like this concert enables us to expand programming, enhance services, offer fee assistance for participants in need, and much more.”

Doors open at 6:30pm and the show begins at 7pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at SEASPAR.org or by calling SEASPAR at 630-960-7600. Tickets may also be purchased at the SEASPAR office, Anderson’s Bookshop, BankFinancial or the Tivoli Theatre Box Office, all in Downers Grove. A cash bar and refreshments will be available at intermission.

This event is generously sponsored by BankFinancial.
