Join Westmont Police Department In Raising Funds for Special Olympics of Illinois

The Westmont Police Department will be part of the 50th Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics. They are currently raising donations for Special Olympics of Illinois (SOILL) along with members of the community. 

In 2018, Westmont police and various donors raised $16,221 for SOILL. This year, they plan to raise even more.

Monetary donations should be made payable to “Special Olympics of Illinois,” and mailed to Westmont Police Department, c/o Sgt. Gomorczak or Sgt. Weibler, 500 N. Cass Avenue, Westmont, IL 60559.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is part of the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games. Hundreds of officers and volunteers will carry the Flame of Hope nearly 1,500 miles through thousands of Illinois communities via 23 different legs (routes) to its final destination – the Opening Ceremony of the SOILL Summer Games on June 7 in Normal, Illinois.
