Jan 14, 2019 04:48PM ● By Hannah Ott

Darien - The Creative Youth Art Fair will be here before you know it. The public Art Fair, presented by Darien Women’s Club Art Committee, will be February 24 from 2-3:30pm. It will take place at Cass Junior High, 8502 Bailey Rd. in Darien.

Encourage any aspiring young artist you may know to enter and participate in this event. It is open to children and youth from Pre-K through High School. Entrants do not have to be a resident of Darien.

The Friday night before the event, February 22, the Art Committee will accept the art work and set it up. Participants should drop off their artwork on Friday from 4:30-6:30pm. Saturday consists of judging, totaling scores and putting the ribbons on the art work.

Sunday the event is open to the public from 2-3:30pm. Visitors can look at the vast display of art and see the awards given. Afterwards, selected artwork is chosen to hang in the Library for all to see.

To keep younger attendees occupied on Sunday, there is a creative arts table with lots of playdough for them to enjoy.

Electronic Registration is new this year. It is currently available through the DWC website: http://www.darienwomansclub.org/youth-art-fair/. Copies of the form are also available at Indian Prairie Library.
