Bella Cosa owners donate $2,500 to Darien Lion's Club

The owners of Bella Cosa Jewelers - Willowbrook, IL, Joseph and Amy Molfese, made a donation of $2,500 to Lions Randy Porzel and Gerry Kurcera of theDarien Lions Club - Darien, IL for its 2018 Candy Day drive. The money raised is used to help people with vision and hearing impairment, and to support other community activities including the club's Holiday Food Baskets for the needy, Halloween party for the community, and Fourth of July Parade.
Bella Cosa Jewelers is a family owned fine jewelry store in the Willowbrook Town Center. Services range from on-site custom manufacturing to diamond and jewelry importing.
The Darien Lions Club - Darien, IL was formed in 1971 by several local residents. Their sole purpose is to raise funds for the needy. The Club donates the majority of the funds raised to needy local area residents and other charitable organizations.
They chartered the Darien Lions Foundation, with the intent that it would insure that their services will live in perpetuity. They have raised $201,000 toward a target of $250,000.
Major events sponsored by the Darien's Lion Club include Darien's 4th of July Parade, the Darien Fest corn and beverage tents, our Halloween Party (which is held at Darien's Sportsplex), Candy Day, and thier Pancake Breakfast. The club is part of LCI's District 1J of Illinois, and participate in fund raising events they sponsor including a bowling tournament, annual district and state conventions, and Sight & Sound Sweepstakes. In addition, the Darien club runs several local activities to cover administrative costs including a Steak Fry, a Smoker, and an annual Golf Outing and Big Bucks Raffle. They are a member of the Darien Chamber of Commerce.
The Darien Lion's Club meets two times a month from September through June. One meeting is a business meeting, and the other is a dinner meeting that features a guest speaker. Four of our dinner meetings are semi-formals which wives/significant-others attend.
