The Lights of Lisle Festival is December 2

LISLE, IL – The Village of Lisle, Lisle Convention & Visitors Bureau, Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lisle Park District, and the Lisle Heritage Society partner together to organize the annual holiday festivities in downtown Lisle. We invite you to join us in Lisle as we celebrate the magic and wonder of the season.

The annual Lisle Santa Light Parade, featuring the official arrival of Santa, starts at 4:30 PM on Saturday, December 2th from Ogden Avenue and Main Street and works its way south through downtown Lisle; turning east on Burlington Avenue and ending at the Lisle Village Hall.  Santa’s final destination is the Museums at Lisle Station Park where there will be a photo opportunity as Santa will take requests from good little boys and girls. Enjoy holiday performances by students in the Board Room at Village Hall all afternoon and after the tree lighting ceremony.

Join Lisle downtown businesses for “Merry on Main” for a day of holiday open houses, treats, giveaways, and more!! Stroll down Main Street and view the decorated tree walk (participating businesses), play the holiday word hunt, and after, head to the Lisle Station Museum for the tree lighting, and The Lights of Lisle Festival.

Lights of Lisle is the traditional favorite that the Village of Lisle celebrates annually. At dusk approximately 2,000 luminarias line the streets of Lisle and at 6 PM the official tree lighting ceremony begins at the Village Hall.  The Lisle Community Band will perform and cookies and hot chocolate will be served.  Holiday song books will be available for all to enjoy community caroling.

Make it a point to stop at the outdoor Holiday Market Tent this year where lots of vendors will be selling holiday gifts and festive crafts. Purchase foods to enjoy offered by fan favorite local food trucks and dine in the heated tent!

A festively-decorated Holiday Trolley, complete with holiday music, will be available from 5 – 7 PM for FREE trolley rides to view the holiday decorations.  Riders get on and off at Village Hall, where there will be an ice carving demonstration, refreshments and an opportunity to visit with Santa at the Depot Museum, not to mention all the merchants in-between.

FREE Wagon rides will also be available from 5-8 PM and run between the Lisle Village Hall and the Museums at Lisle Station Park.

The annual Heritage Society Holiday celebration, “Once Upon a Christmas”, is Saturday, December 2th from 3 - 8 PM and Sunday, December 3th from 11 AM – 4 PM at the Museums at Lisle Station Park.  Highlighting this year’s event will be an 1800’s era holiday celebration complete with period costumes, demonstrations, children’s crafts, music, brick oven baking, model train displays, hay rides, black-smithing and of course, Santa.

Before Lights of Lisle, visit Villa St. Benedict for their Memorial Luminary Illumination from 3 - 4:30 pm, where they will have Christmas Carols, hot chocolate and cookies to enjoy with Illumination and Blessings!
