Annual Westmont Community Awards nominations now open

Westmont, Illinois, January 23, 2017 – The Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau (WCCTB) will host the Annual Westmont Community Awards Dinner to recognize area individuals and businesses. The Awards Dinner will be held on April 20, 2017 at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort and Conference Center, 3500 Midwest Road, Westmont. Cocktails service will begin at 6:00pm. Dinner will be served at 6:45pm. Ticket price is $65 per person. Registrations can be made from the Chamber website at www.westmontchamber.com or by calling the Chamber office at 630-960-5553.
The Westmont Chamber Community Awards Dinner is an annual tradition in Westmont designed to provide a special opportunity to pause and recognize the many wonderful volunteers and businesses that work to make Westmont a great place to live, work and visit. The Award Nomination process is now open. Nominations for the following awards can be submitted online at www.westmontchamber.com or by completing a paper form available at the Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau office at One South Cass Avenue, Suite 101, Westmont and the Westmont Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy Street, Westmont. The deadline for submittals is March 3, 2017.
Nominations are now open for the following Westmont Community Awards:
The 2016 Dick Busse Business-of-the-Year Award recognizes a Westmont Chamber business that has excelled in community service, business promotion, civic responsibility and contributions to the betterment of the Chamber and the Village of Westmont.
2016 Westmont Citizen-of-the-Year Award recognizes an individual that resides in Westmont and that has demonstrated exceptional community involvement and leadership. Mayor Gunter noted “It is a great pleasure to honor those individuals that have made such a positive impact to the success of Westmont.”
The 2016 Educator-of-the-Year Award recognizes a local educator for their outstanding efforts in their field and to the betterment of the Village of Westmont.
The 2016 Public Safety Officer-of-the-Year Award recognizes a local emergency medical technician, fire fighter, or law enforcement officer for their outstanding efforts in their field and to the betterment of Westmont.
The 2016 Westmont Community Improvement Award recognizes individual business property owners and businesses that have improved the appearance of their property.
The deadline for nomination submittals is March 3, 2017.
