History comes to life once again at Cantigny Park on Saturday, October 1, and Sunday, October 2, when the park hosts “Military Through the Ages.”
This first-time event at Cantigny is a timeline reenactment featuring a span of 15 or more military encampments throughout history, ranging from ancient Rome through Operation Desert Storm. Visitors will witness first-hand how soldiers lived and fought during different eras and see the progression of weapons, clothing and technology over time. The encampments, in chronological order, will facilitate self-guided walking tours, with living-history actors available to interpret and answer questions.
Hours for this free and historically accurate event are 10am-4pm both days. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
Additional details about “Military Through the Ages” are online at Cantigny.org.
