Lisle Convention & Visitors Bureau collecting old flags

Mar 23, 2016 10:39AM ● Published by Neighbors Magazines

Did you know that flags that are torn, faded, frayed and discolored are considered unserviceable and should not be flown?

From March 22 through May 27, Lisle Convention & Visitors Bureau will collect old flags and deliver them to local Boy Scouts Troop 99 for a proper flag retirement ceremony in conjunction with the Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony held on May 30, 2016 in downtown Lisle.
Citizens, who have old flags which have become worn beyond repair, may drop off their old flags in the collection box located in the Lisle Village Hall lobby, 925 Burlington Avenue, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
