This summer was very busy for District #61 as a number of projects were completed prior to the beginning of the year.

All three District Schools received new heating and air conditioning units as the old heating units were replaced as they reached the end of their useful life. This project included the removal and installation of units, reworking of duct work on the interior of the buildings and the addition of heating elements within classrooms.

Additionally, all the original student bathrooms were gutted and remodeled. While this was a messy project, students now have updated facilities to use within all the schools. The bathrooms were updated with lighting, fixtures, tile and paint and look terrific.

Finally, original exterior classroom doors that were not used were replaced with more efficient windows and window coverings.
