The Westmont Street Fair and Cruisin’ Nights events have had a record-breaking year so far. With cooperation from the weather, the event has been averaging over 200 classic cars and more than 2000 guests each week. The Street Fair is held every Thursday through the end of August in Downtown Westmont from 5–9pm. During the Street Fair, Cass is closed from Burlington Ave. to Naperville Rd. Classic cars enter at Norfolk. Each week features live bands, DJs, kids’ activities, radio station promotions, classic cars and more. Be sure to visit our downtown businesses while you’re at the event. Also, the 4th of July Celebration at Ty Warner Park was a huge success this year and hosted more than 15,000 people.
“Community events are very important in Westmont, not only for our residents, but for our economic development program,” says Mayor Ron Gunter. “We want people to leave our events with a smile on their face so that they return to the community, shop in our stores, and maybe even move to Westmont. I want to thank everyone who helps put these events together.” For more community events info, visit WestmontEvents.com or call 630-829-9378.
