People’s Resource Center’s Executive Director, Kim Perez and Senior Director of Programs, Melissa Travis, accept a DuPage Foundation Grant from DuPage Foundation's Donor Advisor, Jim Heinking and Board Chairman, Steve Burt

People’s Resource Center was one of 28 not-for-profit organizations in DuPage County to receive a grant from the 2015 Spring Community Needs Grant Cycle of the DuPage Foundation. The grant, awarded during a special distribution breakfast on June 1, at the Glen Oak Country Club, will help underwrite the purchase of a new van which People’s Resource Center will use for food rescue for its food pantry. The total of all grants awarded during this cycle, whose amounts ranged in value from $2,000 - $20,000, was $400,001.  Community leaders, Foundation trustees, benefactors and other stakeholders attended the event. People’s Resource Center is located in Wheaton.
