Local artist donates painting to IPPL

Willowbrook artist and author Jenn Weinshenker recently donated an oil painting called The Prairie to the Indian Prairie Public Library. The artwork is on display in the seating area at the base of the library’s stairway. After a head-on car accident 20 years ago, Weinshenker had to re-learn everything— reading, writing, walking, and talking. While learning to read again, she found help, encouragement, assistance, and support at her local public library. The painting took a year for Weinshenker to create. Patrons may recall her painting on location on the second floor of the library last summer.
